PrestaShop DHL Express Shipping method is a Prestashop module that helps you to automate DHL Express shipping by displaying shipping rates on the print label from within PrestaShop, pack items automatically into boxes, and enable shipment tracking.
This plugin will work in all countries where DHL Express service is available.

Installation

Once you have downloaded a module from the Addons online store, it's up to you have it installed on your PrestaShop site.
There are two ways to install a module: either using the dedicated form, or using your FTP client.
Installing using the dedicated form
To install a new PrestaShop module "automatically", click on the "Add a module from my computer" link at the top of the list of modules. This will reveal a new section.
Two options are presented in the "Add a new module" section:
  • Add a module from a web server: simply put the URL to its online zip file, and validate.
  • Add a module from your computer: browse to the module's Zip file that you downloaded, and validate.
In both cases, you must point to the module's Zip archive, and not its folder or any of its unpacked files.
Once validated, PrestaShop will load the module (either from the Web or from your computer), unpack it, place the files in the correct location, and update the page, all this in a handful of seconds.
Installing using an FTP client
To install a new PrestaShop module manually:
  • Unzip (decompress) the module archive file (.zip). This should result in a new folder.
  • Using your FTP client, place the folder in your PrestaShop /modules folder. Pay attention NOT to upload that folder in another module's folder (which can happen when drag-and-dropping items). Upload the whole folder, not just the files it contains.
  • Go to your back-office, in the "Modules" tab.
  • Locate the new module in the modules list. You might have to scroll down; you can also use the list's search engine, which should give you a dynamically updated list of matching module names.
  • In the row for the new module, click the "Install" button.
  • Your module is now installed and should be activated too (green tick). If necessary, click on the module's "Configure" link. Pay also attention to any warning message that might be displayed by PrestaShop.
Once the configuration is complete, be sure to test the module immediately to confirm that it works as planned.

Print Shipping Label: Print shipping labels from within Prestashop.
After logging in to the PrestaShop admin area, you can create a shipment by clicking on the ‘create shipment’ button on the right-hand side of the order details page. Shipment details would automatically be sent to the DHL Express online account, and then the shipping label( 8X4_A4_PDF, 8X4_thermal, 8X4_A4_TC_PDF, 8X4_CI_PDF, 8X4_CI_thermal, 6X4_A4_PDF) would be generated, which you can print. Postage is automatically paid on these labels using your DHL account.
There is an option to change the shipping service before generating a label.
This plugin integrates with DHL Express APIs to print domestic or international shipping labels with a tracking barcode.
 
Shipment Tracking: The tracking number returned from DHL while generating the label would be added to order notes and will be sent as part of the order completion email. A visual representation of tracking status can be seen in Order edit page by Admin and in Order’s section of customer’s My-Account page. The tracking information shows the current status of the shipment in transit.
 
Commercial Invoice: A commercial invoice is generated as a receipt as soon as Paperless trade is initiated.
 
Custom Shipment message: You can set your own message which can be attached along with the order completion email.
 
Archive Air Waybill: For package safety and custom clearance purposes, you can request a DHL waybill. An airway bill gives you proof of consignment with a unique number, which you can use on DHL’s website to track the shipment.

How to get DHL Credentials?
For getting Site ID and Site Password, countries other than United States (UK and rest of the world), should contact DHL account manager. The account manager must request integration with HIT Tech via DHL pre-sales department. The pre-sale department will then provide the live credentials.
 
For folks in United States, you need to write to [email protected], along with your account details like account number, address, and so on.
For Australia, you are prompted to contact DHL Express via email to [email protected] 
 
Note: Even if you have DHL credentials for Australia, you still need to contact [email protected] and get a new set of credentials for them to work with our solution. This small effort on your part is totally worthy to ensure seamless fulfillment solutions for your business.
