Are you tired of seeing how one of your customers registers in your online store with a fake or wrong RUT number?

The RUT Validator module has an effective system to checks and validates RUT numbers for Chile in real time.

If the number entered by the client is wrong or false, the system will automatically display a message indicating that the validation has not been correct and will not allow with the registration or purchase process.

In this way the module will avoid the registration of customer data with wrong or false numbers, and thus avoid the generation of invalid invoices.

In addition, we have designed the module to integrate seamlessly with the ONE PAGE CHECKOUT PS module by Presteamshop, validating the identification numbers from your purchase form.

How does the validation system work?
This module is developed with the same system with which the RUT numbers are generated. So the validation system is totally effective and safe. It is only valid for the RUT numbers generated in CHILE.

What happens if there are customers in your store who are not from Chile?
The module has the option of being able to choose the countries for the validation of the RUT numbers. In this way, customers from other countries can be allowed to register by entering their different tax identification numbers from those in Chile.

What happens to the RUT numbers of customers who are previously registered in your store before purchasing this module?
The module has an analysis system that you must run to detect if there is already an invalid RUT number in the store's database. In the search results you will get all the details and then be able to fix it.

Our module ONLY validates RUt numbers in the fields for identification numbers or VAT numbers, which is shown in the address form as required input.

How about Validation mode?
There is two validation modes: Strict mode and Smart mode.

  • Stric mode: The system only validates RUT numbers inserted by cusomer as long as it is inserted with standard format (10368932-5, 103689325, 10.368.932-5).

  • Smart mode: The system validates the RUT number even the format inserted by customer is wrong, and the system will format automatically the number with clean format before saving in database (10.3.6-8932-5 will be validated and format as 103689325).

How about Fix verification number feature?
The system calculates the correct verification number and will fix it before saving into database. If a customer inserts a valid RUT number but with wrong verification number it will be fixed. Example: Customer inserts 18600986-T, but correct verification number is K, then the system will fix it inserting 18600986-K in database.
